Teresina de Goiás is about 67 km from Alto Paraíso, via GO-118, on the way to Cavalcante. From Brasília it's about 285 km, paved all the way. The town has a bus terminal, but the connection to Brasília goes through Alto Paraíso. The nearest airport is Brasília.
How many days
One day is enough for the three waterfalls, all close to town. Many people visit as a stop between Alto Paraíso and Cavalcante.
When to go
In the dry season, from May to September, with clear water and firm trails. The town has the Folia de Reis (Epiphany celebrations) in January, the Romaria da Paixão during Holy Week and the Festa do Caju (cashew festival) between October and November.
Do you need a car?
Yes, but a regular car will do: the three waterfalls are close to town, with access almost entirely paved and just a few meters of dirt at the end.

Can a regular car get to the waterfalls?
Yes. All three are close to the paved road, with short dirt stretches at the end.
Can I combine it with Cavalcante?
Yes. Teresina is on the road between Alto Paraíso and Cavalcante, and the waterfalls fit into a stop of half a day to a day.
Are the waterfalls good for kids?
They're among the calmest in the region: short, easy trails and calm pools. The Poço Encantado even has a small sandy beach.
