About Serra da Engabelada
Serra da Engabelada is part of Congo's rural routes in the Cariri paraibano. The elevations and rock formations relate to the caatinga landscape, outside the municipal seat. Routes are arranged with guides who organize arrival and the walk.
The chosen trail determines duration, effort and the entry point. Check the circuit that best suits the participants' conditions and include transport between the town and the rural area. The regional proximity to the Paraíba River does not turn the hike into a water excursion.
Secure entry authorization and bring water, sun protection and hiking footwear. Between February and May, rains typically change vegetation and ground humidity. June to September tends to be drier; visibility and trail conditions vary by day.

Practical information
Cidade Turismo reviews its information regularly, but something may have changed. Check with the place before planning your trip.
How much time to set aside
Duration depends on the agreed circuit; allow time for rural access and return to Congo.
Best time
From June to September, in general, there is less rain. February to May can bring more humidity to the trails and greener vegetation.
How to get there
Arrive in Congo via PB-196 or via the accesses of PB-214 and arrange transport to the start of the Engabelada circuit.
Tip
Keep the serra walk separate from any visit to the riverbanks, as they are different accesses and arrangements.
