About Praia de Mamucabinhas
Praia de Mamucabinhas (beach) is on the south coast of Pernambuco, on the northern stretch of the Barreiros coast, just south of Tamandaré. To its south are Praia do Porto, also called Porto de Nassau, and Praia do Vau do Una.
It is a long beach with almost no buildings, with coconut palms as far as the eye can see. At the northern end, the reefs block the waves and make the water clearer.
There are no beach facilities, such as stalls or vendors. The plan is to walk along the sand, swim where the sea is sheltered and enjoy the quiet. Many people walk south along the sand to Praia do Porto and the Ilha do Coqueiro Solitário (islet).
The last stretch of access is on a dirt road. It is a beach for those who want nature and few people, and who come prepared, bringing water and food.
